Job Description
A New York City-based nonprofit services organization is seeking a licensed professional to join their team in Brooklyn as a Mental Health Counselor.
About the Opportunity:
Shift: Day
Schedule: Monday to Friday
Hours: 9am to 5pm
Setting: Flex ACT
Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop transition-focused treatment plans
Provide direct, community-based support to clients served through the Flex ACT model
Collaborate with internal teams and external service providers to support continuity of care
Participate in daily morning meetings, case conferences, and rotating on-call coverage
Complete documentation in a timely manner and provide training and clinical guidance as needed
Qualifications:
At least 2 years of experience working with dually diagnosed individuals
Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field
Current licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, LMFT, or Licensed Psychologist
Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Proficiency with MS Word and Excel
Desired Skills:
Bilingual
Experience with ACT or Flex ACT programs
Strong knowledge of Harm Reduction, Recovery, and Community-based services
Experience developing and delivering Clinical Training or Presentations
