Job Description Summary:

Part time- Weekends

Position Responsibilities

  • Completes Biopsychosocial assessment within 48 hours of patient admission.
  • Documents findings, goals, interventions, re-assessments & evaluation relative to patient's progress weekly or as needed.
  • Attends & actively participates in interdisciplinary treatment planning meetings. Contributes to the development of individualized treatment plans for each patient.
  • complete daily tasks as assigned and clinical documentation on day of service.
  • Plans & implements and coordinates group therapy sessions as assigned.
  • Conducts patient group activities & individual activity sessions as assigned displaying theoretical knowledge of group principles & effective group and treatment techniques.
  • Provides resources & support for patient during & after treatment. Gives clearly written instructions on community resource centers or programs to patient & family.
  • Provides on-going education to patient & family as needed. Involves patient& family with discharge planning.
  • Identifies areas needing improvement & actively participates in department's performance improvement efforts. Provides feedback to Program/Clinical Director regarding concerns, improvements, changes, etc.
  • Attends inservice trainings and continuing education credit courses as required and shares relevant seminars with clinical treatment team. While also assuming responsibility for own continued growth and contributing to the professional growth of others.
  • Promotes surveillance, prevention& control of infection by using hygienic practices & teaching patients hygienic practices.
  • Adheres to the principles of non-violent crisis intervention.
  • Interprets and articulates policies and procedures appropriately. Recognizes and takes appropriate actions regarding any violation of facility policy and/or procedure, with priority on those which may risk safety.
  • Attends department meetings & in-service programs. Actively participates in department meetings providing positive suggestions and input.

Qualifications

  • License/Registration/Certification

    • Licensed as an LMHC, LCSW, or LMFT in the State of Florida is required. Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Certificate within 90 days of employment.
  • Education

    • Masters Degree in Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, or Marriage and Family or Psychology.
  • Experience

    • A minimum of 1 year experience in the Corporate and/or HealthCare field required.
