TEMPORARY GRANT FUNDED POSITION The Mental Health Counselor will work closely with the Director of Student Services and the Mental Health Liaison and be responsible for providing student and family counseling services to assist the students in making appropriate decisions relative to school program and relationships with other pupils, teachers, parents and administrators. The Mental Health Counselor will be expected to provide direct services to students. The Mental Health Counselor will be expected to supervise interns. Requirements / Qualifications
EDUCATION: Possession of a valid California Pupil Personnel Services Credential in School Social Work or School Counseling, and have one of the following licenses: LCSW, LMFT, LPCC or be eligible for one of the following licenses: Associate Clinical Social Worker, Associate Marriage and Family Therapist, or Associate Professional Counselor. Bilingual in Spanish is desirable. ASSIGNMENT: Temporary Position for the 2026 - 2027 School Year

We are committed to providing an enriched curriculum with high expectations for all students which emphasizes the skills, concepts and processes necessary for the technological and cultural challenges of the 21st century. The District provides a variety of educational programs suitable to the needs of a Multi-ethnic and varied Socio-economic community including a large Hispanic enrollment of ninety percent. The District is located in the City of Pico Rivera, which is conveniently located off the 605 and 5 freeways. We are a short drive from both beaches and mountain areas and are located next to the Whittier Narrows Recreation Area.
