This position is located at the SC Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) - Office of Mental Health, Columbia Area Mental Health Center (CAMHC), Emergency Services - Housing Coordinator, CAMHC #497.

As the Mental Health Professional, you will serve as the CAMHC Housing Coordinator to ensure patient access to appropriate community-based housing. Services are delivered in the community and patients homes.

Responsibilities for the Mental Health Professional I:

• Provide oversight for CAMHC housing programs, including Community Housing, TLC/Housing and Homeless Program Supportive Housing developments, Community Residential Care Facilities (CRCFs), and other supportive housing programs, as applicable. Coordinate administrative requirements of the agencys housing programs, including payment contracts and patient agreements.
• Coordinate with the agencys Transition Programs staff, including Clinical Care Coordinators (CCCs) and Transition Specialists, MCO CCCs, Certified Peer Support Specialists, and Benefits/Entitlement Specialists, Partners with the local HUD Continuum of Care, public housing authority (i.e.), and affordable housing owners and property managers. Coordinate patient housing referrals and move-ins and maintain wait lists for each Center housing program.
• Participate in other OMH or partner agency programs and activities as may be required. Attend treatment team meetings as needed and provide consultation regarding complex cases as appropriate.
• Complete documentation according to QA/OMH standards, complies with Corporate Compliance policy and Risk Management Plan, and ensure timely completion of prior authorizations.
• Enter and maintain Community Housing data in the agencys Electronic Health Record. Prepare and submit the monthly Community Housing report.
• Enter and maintain Center Homeshare/TLC program and patient information in the agencys SharePoint site and CIS/Electronic Health Record.
• Comply with the Office of Mental Health Compliance Plan and all legal responsibilities and requirements.

Minimum and Additional Requirements

• A masters degree in guidance, counseling, the social sciences or a related field.
• Must be licensed or eligible for licensure in SC and willing to work towards licensure in SC within first six months of employment.

In order to be credentialed for core services as a Mental Health Professional at the SC Office of Mental Health, applicants must provide evidence of clinical experience providing direct patient care. This experience may be documented as a practicum or internship during graduate program, or post-graduate clinical experience. Preferred Qualifications

• Bilingual abilities in English and Spanish (or another language) are a plus.

• Have practical therapeutic knowledge of principles, methods and counseling practices and procedures for the diagnosis and treatment of behavioral and mental disorders.
• Have the ability to listen and understand and communicate information and ideas so that others will understand.
• Have knowledge of psychopathology, family dynamics, family and group psychotherapy.
• Have the ability to identify and effectively utilize resources available in the community to accomplish objectives.
• Have the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with individuals, families and other representatives of other professional disciplines.
• Have the ability to present clear and comprehensive oral and written reports.
• Be able to lift 5 pounds and operate a state vehicle.
• Be able to pass CPR and Managing Agitation in the Psychiatric Setting (MAPS) Certification.
