JOB SUMMARY
Provides mental health services to victims of crime served by the Children's Justice Center (CJC). Implements mental health best practice services to fulfill national accreditation standards. Participates in multidisciplinary team protocols to represent the best interest of child victims using a victim-centered and trauma-informed approach.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Grade 14
Master''s degree from accredited college or university in social work, psychology, marriage and family therapy, mental health counseling or other closely related field, and Must be Licensed as a Certified Social Worker (CSW) in the State of Utah.
Grade 15
Master''s degree from accredited college or university in social work, psychology, marriage and family therapy, mental health counseling or other closely related field, and Must be Licensed as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the State of Utah.
Preference given to those with at least four (4) years of experience in a child related setting, with one (1) year of experience working with child victims, and one (1) year of counseling experience with youth.
Required to successfully complete 40 hours of evidence-based trauma-informed training within six (6) months of hire according to national accreditation standards.
A valid Driver's License accepted by the State of Utah is required at the time of hire. A valid Driver's License issued by the State of Utah must be obtained within six (6) months of hire to operate a County vehicle.
Due to the nature of this position, the successful applicant must pass a required background check through fingerprinting and enrollment in the continuous RAP Back (Record of Arrest and Prosecution Back) program in accordance with current County Human Resources policy requirements.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Work is primarily performed in a typical office environment, counseling settings, and child abuse investigation settings. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required. CJC staff work regularly with clients in crisis situations and who have experienced significant trauma and abuse.

This position may be requested to respond to urgent cases outside of regular business hours.
