What Youll Do
- Conduct mental health screenings and assessments for inmates based on available records and clinical interviews
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, and social workers to coordinate inmate care
- Develop, implement, and modify individual mental health treatment plans
- Document assessments and treatment activities accurately in health records
- Provide crisis intervention and mental health counseling to inmates as needed
- Administer psychological tests and evaluate inmate mental status
- Offer behavior management and support strategies to improve inmate adjustment and safety
What You Need
Required:
- Valid State License in Mental Health or related discipline
- 2+ years of experience in mental health settings, preferably with correctional/inmate populations
- Knowledge of psychological assessment tools and counseling techniques
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and work within a secure environment
Preferred:
- Experience working in secure or correctional facilities
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with team members
