Overview
Under supervision, to perform work involving the delivery of basic services and care to behavioral health patients. Performs selected patient care activities under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Participates as a member of the multidisciplinary treatment team providing support to the patient''s therapeutic treatment plan.
Responsibilities
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES(*Essential Functions) Provides care services related to the type of scheduled activity on the unit and treatment plan, including recreational, art, media, self-expression, physical exercise, etc. Assists patients and other staff with ambulation, transfers and repositioning as needed. Assists with the patient''s activities of daily living, including such activities as bathing, toileting, dressing, grooming, feeding, etc. Measures and obtains and records and reports patient''s vital signs, weight, I&O, glucometer testing, etc. Monitors patients based upon safety precautions as assigned.
