The Mental Health Technician plays a vital role in providing direct supervision, guidance, and support to emotionally and behaviorally challenged youth. This role requires a steadfast commitment to safety and daily awareness of all developments impacting the children in your care. Successful candidates demonstrate the ability to distinguish discipline from punishment, recognize underlying needs beneath behavior, and build trusting, supportive relationships that set the foundation for individualized treatment and unit programming. Our weekend position provides direct care, direction, and supervision to emotionally and/or behaviorally challenged children and adolescents. This role is specifically designed to support weekend operations through 12-hour shifts, ensuring continuity of care, safety, and therapeutic engagement. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalentrequired; Bachelors degree in Mental Health or related field preferred Experience working with acute emotionally challenged children or adolescents preferred. Valid drivers licenserequired SCM and CPR/First Aid certification required (provided internally after hire) Must be at least21 years old Basic computer skills required
