Job Description

Nuance Psychological welcomes inquiries from early-career clinicians, including LMHCAs, LMFTAs, and doctoral trainees in clinical or counseling psychology programs. We offer clinical supervision and also have opportunities for associate clinicians to join our group practice.
We're happy to connect with clinicians who are exploring supervision or considering W-2 employment within a small group practice environment. If you're early in your training and unsure whether this may be a fit, you're still welcome to reach out.

Our practice values thoughtful, collaborative clinical work and ongoing professional growth. Whether you're seeking supervision, employment, or simply exploring your next step, we'd be glad to hear from you!

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide psychotherapy services to clients, averaging approximately 25 clinical hours per week.
  • Complete clinical documentation and administrative tasks in a timely and professional manner.
  • Communicate with clients, colleagues, and community partners in ways that reflect the values and professional identity of the practice.
  • Attend sessions, meetings, and practice engagements on time and prepared.
  • Respond to client, referral, and colleague communications in a timely and professional manner.

  • Adhere to all applicable laws, regulations, and professional ethical standards related to scope of practice.
  • Commitment to working at least one day in office in Bellevue.

Requirements:
  • Active associate or full licensure, or currently in a qualifying training stage (e.g., LMHCA, LMFTA, LMHC, LICSW, advanced doctoral student, Psy.D. or Ph.D.).
  • Graduate degree in Clinical or Counseling Psychology or a closely related field.
  • Strong clinical skills and the ability to build rapport with clients quickly.
  • Experience working with populations represented on our website, and comfort supporting clients from diverse backgrounds and identities.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional growth, learning, and curiosity.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including reliability, warmth, openness, and a collaborative spirit.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining strong attention to detail and organization.
  • Secure and stable remote work setup suitable for telehealth services.

Preferred but Not Required:
  • Experience supporting AAPI clients, particularly around cultural identity and intergenerational experiences.
  • Interest in developing professional skills beyond therapy (e.g., supervision, consultation, community engagement, or marketing).
  • Familiarity with Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and relational therapy approaches.
  • Strong case conceptualization skills and flexibility in clinical intervention.
  • Demonstrated authenticity, humility, and enthusiasm for clinical work.

Compensation and Benefits:
We aim to provide a supportive, sustainable environment for clinicians to build their practices while continuing to grow professionally.

Compensation consists of two rates: an administrative hourly rate and a clinical hourly rate.
