Mental Health Therapist

CARPE DIEM COUNSELING is seeking a compassionate and qualified Mental Health Therapist to provide professional counseling and behavioral health services to clients. The ideal candidate will be committed to supporting clients in achieving improved emotional well-being while maintaining a professional, ethical, and confidential therapeutic environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct individual, family, and/or group therapy sessions as appropriate.
• Complete client assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans when necessary.
• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
• Collaborate with other healthcare and behavioral health professionals.
• Maintain client confidentiality and comply with applicable professional standards.
• Participate in case consultations and treatment planning.
• Provide appropriate referrals and community resources when needed.
• Maintain required continuing education and professional development.

Requirements

• Master's degree or higher in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
• Current Virginia clinical license or eligibility for appropriate licensure.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and clinical assessment skills.
• Experience providing mental health counseling preferred.
• Ability to maintain accurate and confidential client records.
• Strong ethical standards and professional judgment.
• Compassionate, patient-centered approach to client care.
