We are seeking an MEP Construction Inspector for assignment in Brownsville, Texas. The selected candidate will primarily schedule, coordinate and perform daily project field inspections for a new GSA Land Port of Entry (LPOE).
Hours are Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 4:00pm

Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 10+ years of documented experience in construction inspection or field engineering, with a verified specialization in MEP systems
- Successful field experience working on at least 2 multi-phased modernization or new construction projects valued at $50M+ (e.g., large-scale campus environments, critical infrastructure facilities, or LPOEs)
- Exceptional working knowledge of the International Building Code (IBC), International Mechanical Code (IMC), International Plumbing Code (IPC), National Electrical Code (NEC) and OSHA safety regulations
- Expert capability in navigating and cross-referencing multi-layered 2D blueprints, detailed structural cross-sections, 3D Building Information Modeling (BIM) programs (e.g., Autodesk Navisworks for clash detection), and complex technical specification matrices
- Expert familiarity with short-circuit current ratings (SCCR), arc flash safety boundaries, selective coordination requirements for overcurrent protective devices, and emergency infrastructure load-shedding architecture
- Advanced proficiency in auditing centralized hydronic plant loops, variable refrigerant flow (VRF) layouts, air filtration mechanics (MERV/HEPA sequencing) and localized exhaust extraction systems
- A deep understanding of BACnet protocols and BAS graphic sequence of operations logic
- A thorough understanding of backflow prevention assembly testing, medical/specialty gas certifications and standard hydraulic calculations for automatic fire sprinkler networks (NFPA 13/14/20)
