Job Description
MEP Director
Reporting directly to senior operational leadership, the MEP Director will serve as the company's subject matter expert for all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and building systems matters across the DFW portfolio. The MEP Director will partner closely with project teams, owners, consultants, and trade partners to ensure successful project delivery from preconstruction through closeout.
- Lead and mentor project teams, field personnel, and operations leaders on all MEP-related matters.
- Provide strategic oversight of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and life safety systems across multiple projects.
- Support preconstruction efforts through design reviews, constructability analysis, budgeting, value engineering, and subcontractor procurement.
- Review drawings, specifications, and technical documentation to identify risk, coordination challenges, and cost-saving opportunities.
- Drive collaboration between owners, architects, engineers, and trade partners to ensure seamless system integration.
- Monitor project schedules, budgets, commissioning activities, and quality standards to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Resolve complex technical challenges and provide leadership on critical system coordination issues throughout the construction process.
- Develop and implement best practices, standards, and processes to strengthen MEP performance across the organisation.

For the MEP Director role, we are seeking:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical discipline.
- 10+ years of experience within commercial construction, MEP project management, MEP preconstruction, engineering, or design-build environments.
- Proven experience overseeing MEP systems on large-scale commercial construction projects.
- Strong understanding of HVAC, electrical distribution, plumbing, fire protection, building automation, and commissioning processes.
- Experience partnering with general contractors, engineering consultants, owners, and specialty subcontractors.
- Strong knowledge of building codes, life safety requirements, and industry best practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience utilising construction technology platforms such as Procore, Bluebeam, BIM/VDC tools, and Microsoft Office Suite preferred.
- Previous experience supporting healthcare, education, industrial, manufacturing, mission-critical, municipal, or large commercial projects is highly desirable.
