Position Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced MEP Engineer to support the design, coordination, installation, and commissioning of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems across large-scale hyperscale and mission-critical data center projects.

This role will work closely with construction teams, subcontractors, design consultants, and commissioning partners to ensure all MEP systems are delivered safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of critical infrastructure systems and experience working within fast-paced data center environments.

Key Responsibilities
-Support the delivery and coordination of all MEP systems throughout the project lifecycle
-Review construction drawings, specifications, submittals, RFIs, and shop drawings for compliance with project requirements
-Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and internal teams to resolve design and installation conflicts
-Monitor field installation activities to ensure quality, safety, and adherence to schedule
-Conduct site inspections and support QA/QC processes across mechanical and electrical scopes
-Assist with startup, testing, commissioning, and turnover activities for critical infrastructure systems
-Track project progress, identify risks, and support issue resolution to maintain project milestones
-Support commissioning activities for systems including UPS, generators, switchgear, HVAC, chilled water, CRAH/CRAC units, and BMS controls
-Ensure all work complies with applicable codes, standards, and client requirements
-Maintain accurate project documentation, reports, and punch list tracking

Qualifications
-Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline preferred
-Experience in MEP engineering, field engineering, or mission-critical construction environments
-Experience supporting hyperscale or data center projects strongly preferred
-Strong understanding of critical MEP infrastructure systems within mission-critical facilities
-Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
-Familiarity with Procore, Bluebeam, BIM 360, AutoCAD, or related construction technologies
-Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills
-Ability to work in fast-paced environments with aggressive schedules and multiple priorities
-Willingness to travel as required for project needs

Preferred Experience
-Data center, mission-critical construction experience
-Exposure to commissioning and integrated systems testing (IST) processes
-Knowledge of NEC, NFPA, ASHRAE, and other applicable industry standards
