Job DetailsJob Location : Hartford Office - Hartford, CTSalary Range : UndisclosedMEP Engineering - Project ManagerBL Companies has an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager to join our Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) Engineering team, leading a group of engineers and designers in the successful delivery of multi‑discipline projects across our numerous market sectors. This position is a result of our continued growth and will require a high focus on resource and workload management, personnel development, and client care.An ideal candidate will be a licensed professional engineer, having a minimum of 10 years' experience in the management of multi‑discipline projects, including coordination with internal and external architects/engineers, subcontractors, and vendors. Experience in supervising employees is required.This position can be based in one of the following BL locations: Meriden, Hartford, Charlotte, or Wilmington.ResponsibilitiesExecution of MEP based projects to BL's expectations for quality, schedule, and profitabilityPlan, coordinate, communicate, and facilitate the completion of tasks across multiple disciplines on projects of all sizes from conception through completionCoordination with external clients and subconsultantsParticipate in business development and proposal process as well as contract negotiationsMonitor and report to department manager the status of projects, budgets, and work backlogManage a team of multiple staff including designers and/or engineers, providing mentorship and ensuring billable targets are metRecruit, develop and retain staff in support of the company's strategic growth planRequired ExperienceLicensed Professional Engineer (Mechanical or Electrical)10+ years of MEP Engineering experience, with minimum 6 years (10+ ideal) in project managementSupervisory experienceDemonstrated history of successful business developmentBL Companies is 100% employee owned, giving us a competitive edge and a unique distinction from most other companies.
