MEP Estimator in Colchester CT:

• Responsibilities:
  • Generate cost estimates for MEP systems (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) in construction projects
  • Prepare work to be estimated by gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents
  • Identify labor, material, and time requirements, and compute costs by analyzing these requirements
  • Maintain contact and relationships with private individuals and other organizations, and resolve discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information
  • Communicate estimate and scopes of work to the staff, architects, engineers, and owners
  • Perform constructability analysis of project documents
• Requirements:
  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Construction Management is a plus.
  • Ideally two - five years related MEP estimating experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience
  • Proficiency with computer applications, including Microsoft Office suite
  • Ability to read, understand and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work and project schedule
  • Experience with electrical estimating services is a plus
