Pay Range Commensurate with Industry Experience
Schedule Typically Monday through Friday and additional days as needed.
Ferrovial Construction is seeking talented Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) engineering students to conduct their cooperative education experience from one of its affiliated projects in the United States. Ferrovial Construction will provide engineering students practical experience that will aid in progressing their careers in MEP Engineering and Construction Management. Ferrovial Construction is rapidly expanding its presence in the United States and looking to cultivate future leaders who demonstrate a collaborative attitude, innovation, and strong drive for results.
Responsibilities:
Assist in the coordination and review of MEP drawings, schematics, and specifications.
Support MEP system installations including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and fire protection.
Perform MEP quantity take-offs and assist with cost estimates for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing scopes.
Coordinate with MEP subcontractors and vendors to track equipment procurement, submittals, and delivery schedules.
Process change orders and RFIs related to MEP systems in coordination with project engineers.
Identify and recommend solutions to MEP design conflicts and field conditions throughout the construction process.
Manage MEP subcontractors' scope of work and monitor progress in accordance with project schedules and contracts.
Minimum Requirements:
Tracking to earn Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field (such as Building Systems Engineering or Architectural Engineering), obtained from an accredited U.S. college or university.
Demonstrated qualities of leadership and hard work.
Ability to read and interpret construction documents, drawings, and specifications.
Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Must possess strong attention to detail and can work in a fast-paced environment; an eagerness to learn and apply your engineering skills to develop creative problem-solving designs/ideas.
Strong commitment to high standards, integrity, and ethics.
Compensation: $23-25 per hour
