We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced MEP Superintendent specializing in Healthcare Construction. This is a permanent role that offers the opportunity to work on challenging and rewarding projects within the healthcare sector. You will be responsible for overseeing all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) aspects of our construction projects from the ground up. This role requires a dynamic individual who is able to manage and coordinate teams, ensure compliance with codes, and maintain an unwavering focus on quality and safety.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee all MEP aspects of healthcare construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
2. Coordinate and manage MEP subcontractors, ensuring that their work is carried out in accordance with project specifications and plans.
3. Conduct regular site inspections to verify that the work of the subcontractors meets the project's quality standards and complies with all relevant codes and regulations.
4. Collaborate closely with project managers and other project team members to ensure that all MEP aspects are integrated seamlessly into the overall project.
5. Develop and maintain a detailed project schedule that includes all MEP activities, and regularly update this schedule as the project progresses.
6. Proactively identify potential issues or delays and take appropriate action to prevent them.
7. Ensure that all work is carried out in a safe manner, and enforce strict adherence to safety regulations and procedures.
8. Prepare regular progress reports and updates for project managers and other stakeholders.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as an MEP Superintendent in the construction industry, with a strong focus on healthcare construction.
2. Proven experience in managing and coordinating MEP subcontractors in a construction environment.
3. Extensive knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, as well as relevant codes and regulations.
4. Excellent understanding of healthcare construction, including the unique requirements and standards associated with this sector.
5. Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage and motivate teams.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to identify potential issues and take proactive action to prevent them.
7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with project managers, subcontractors, and other team members.
8. Proficiency in using project management software and other relevant technology.
9. A bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
10. Certifications such as Certified Construction Manager (CCM), Certified Professional Constructor (CPC), or Project Management Professional (PMP) are a plus.
