Merchandise Handler-VAS

Pay: $17.00/hour

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m.

Position Overview

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Merchandise Handler to join a distribution center team.

This position primarily supports the preparation and fulfillment of large retail orders for major retailers and other big-box customers. The Merchandise Handler will be responsible for a variety of warehouse functions including picking, packing, replenishing, tagging, and palletizing merchandise to ensure orders are prepared accurately and ready for shipment.

This is a hands-on position that requires strong attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work efficiently as part of a team.

Primary Responsibilities

• Pick merchandise accurately according to customer orders
• Pack and prepare products for shipment
• Replenish inventory and product as needed
• Tag and label merchandise according to customer and retailer requirements
• Palletize completed orders for shipment
• Assist with preparing large retail and big-box store orders
• Verify products and quantities for accuracy
• Follow specific customer requirements when preparing merchandise
• Maintain an organized and efficient work area
• Cross-train and assist in other areas of the distribution center as needed
• Follow all warehouse procedures and safety policies

• Ability to stay organized and follow specific order instructions
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
• Comfortable working in a distribution center/warehouse environment
• Previous picking, packing, order fulfillment, shipping, or warehouse experience is helpful but not required
• Willingness to learn and assist in multiple areas of the distribution center
