The Merchandise Manager oversees the vendor relationships and manages product assortment to meet customer needs.
- Negotiates marketing support, payment & freight terms, pricing, assortment, and promotions with vendors.
- Conducts vendor line reviews using Strategic Category Analysis tools.
- Coordinates booth space sales and orders for Buying Events, attends Dealer Markets, and manages assigned merchandise activities.
- Responds to dealer, sales, and vendor inquiries.
- Requires strong negotiation, analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
- Minimum qualifications include a related bachelor's degree or significant experience (10+ years), retail experience preferred, and willingness to travel and attend on-site events.
- Must work independently, prioritize tasks, and handle changing situations under stress.
