    Description

    Merchandise Specialist

    The ideal Merchandise Specialist - Contractor is a motivated self-starter who is committed to providing outstanding customer service every day.

    A day in the life…

    • Manage & meet vendor SLAs and escalations; organize your own workflow to meet deadlines provided by the business and vendors
    • Gather information and prioritize completion of item set-up, maintenance, and systematic ordering execution
    • Make educated decisions on data needs, product attributes, and classification to ensure speed and quality are met
    • Understand retail math and decisions made on product setup (including pricing) and PO management needs – i.e. shifts of PO (USD))
    • Point of contact for internal teams and vendors; answer questions regarding item data, setup, and PO management
    • Identify and communicate new best practices or efficiencies across the team
    • Utilize tools and systems to support established business processes and any additional processes as business evolves
    • Follow through on commitments; meet or exceed timelines

    • Demonstrated ability to balance speed/productivity with accuracy/attention to detail
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel/Outlook)
    • Advanced time management and prioritization skills
    • Established interpersonal skills with the ability to form productive partnerships
    • Experience with analyzing data, identifying root cause, and using data to tell a story
    • A strong sense of ownership and operate as a self-starter
    • A strong sense of team and demonstrated experience extending yourself to others
    • Problem solving skills, a desire to continue evolving, are curious & ever-changing
    • Understanding of customer needs, wants, and expectations

    Position Details:

    • Hourly - Full Time (40 hours)
    • Monday to Friday
    • Fully remote. They can live in any state that we have a Nordstrom or Nordstrom Rack location in.
