Position Summary

Are you a master relationship builder who can walk into a local business, command the room, and walk out with a partnership? We are looking for a high-energy, relentless Merchant Acquisition Specialist to rapidly expand our Zooby Perkz network. Your mission is simple: pitch local small businesses (restaurants, salons, auto shops, boutique services) on the value of joining our network by offering an exclusive 5% to 20% discount to our members.

This is a high-volume, fast-paced sales role. Our ideal candidate is a closer who can hit the ground running with a target of bringing on 60 new small businesses in their first month.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cold Outreach & Door-Knocking: Actively prospect, visit, and call local small business owners to introduce Zooby Perkz.

  • The Pitch: Clearly articulate the value proposition-explaining how offering a 5% to 20% discount on their services drives free marketing, high foot traffic, and loyal customers to their door.

  • High-Volume Closing: Manage a fast sales cycle to sign up and onboard at least 60 new businesses per month.

  • Relationship Management: Act as the face of Zooby Perkz, ensuring local business owners feel supported and excited about the partnership.

What We Are Looking For

  • The "Hunter" Mentality: You aren't afraid of the word "No." You view objections as a puzzle to solve.

  • Experience: 1–3 years of experience in outside sales, merchant cash advance, coupon/deal network sales (e.g., Groupon, Yelp, LivingSocial), or local B2B marketing sales is a massive plus.

  • Local Knowledge: You know the local business landscape and can speak the language of a small business owner.

  • Self-Driven: You don't need micro-managing. You enjoy managing your own territory and calendar to hit your targets.

  • Communication: Exceptional verbal communication and negotiation skills.
