Merchant Outreach and Sales Contractor

Our client, one of our top delivery global tech clients, is currently seeking a Merchant Outreach and Sales Contractor in New York City, NY. 

Pay: $38 to $40/hr. depending on experience plus a Performance Bonus!
Location: New York City, NY 
Job Type: 3 Month W2 Contract Role
Daily Travel: Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and ability to travel regularly within assigned territory (travel reimbursement will be provided)

About the Role:

We’re seeking a proactive, organized contractor to support a pilot program for  a new customer experience designed to help customers receive popular lunch items faster during peak hours. The goal is to onboard 20 merchants by the end of December. You’ll help drive merchants from initial outreach through pitch, follow-up, and close.

What You’ll Do:

• Conduct merchant and account manager outreach
• Follow up on leads and schedule pitch calls
• Prepare for and support merchant pitches
• Track merchant questions, objections, and next steps
• Help move interested merchants through to close
• Maintain accurate sales pipeline and outreach tracking
• Escalate blockers during daily team check-ins
• Travel to participating merchant locations as needed

What We’re Looking For:

• Strong organization and follow-through
• Clear, professional communication
• Comfortable with sales outreach and follow-up
• Ability to manage multiple leads and deadlines
• Comfortable working with spreadsheets and internal tools
• Self-directed, proactive approach

Restaurant, marketplace, operations, or sales experience is a plus, but not required.

Most importantly: You take ownership, communicate clearly, and know how to keep an outreach process moving from lead to close.
