Mercy Dental Missions (MDM) is dedicated to providing compassionate, life-changing dental care to individuals in need. Through free and reduced-cost dental services, oral health education, and community partnerships, MDM serves vulnerable and underserved populations locally and globally. Our team is committed to fostering a positive, mission-driven culture grounded in compassion, dignity, and service. Mercy Dental Missions is seeking a motivated and service-oriented AmeriCorps VISTA member to help strengthen organizational capacity and improve access to critical community resources for patients. The VISTA member will work closely with the Programs and Marketing Manager and the Holistic Bilingual Patient Care Coordinator to build systems and partnerships that support patients'' needs beyond dental care. Member Duties : The AmeriCorps VISTA member will develop and maintain a comprehensive community referral network that connects Mercy Dental Missions patients to healthcare, behavioral health, housing, food assistance, transportation, faith-based resources, and other support services. The member will research community resources, build partnerships with local organizations, and create systems to ensure referral information remains current and accessible. In addition, the member will support capacity-building activities including community outreach, oral health education, fundraising events, donor engagement, marketing and social media efforts, patient impact storytelling, data collection, program reporting, and evaluation. Through these activities, the VISTA member will strengthen organizational capacity and improve access to resources for underserved individuals and families.
