Description

Kforce has a client that is seeking a MES SAP Project Manager in Orlando, FL. Summary: We are seeking an experienced SAP MES Project Manager to lead and coordinate Manufacturing Execution System (MES) initiatives across the organization. This individual will serve as the primary point of contact for MES-related activities, driving upgrades, testing efforts, user engagement, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives. The environment consists of an MES platform tightly integrated with SAP ERP, including production routings and labor-tracking processes. Following the original MES go-live, project leadership responsibilities became fragmented, creating a need for a dedicated resource to provide structure, accountability, and oversight. This individual will lead MES governance meetings, coordinate cross-functional stakeholders, delegate testing activities, support end users, and play a critical role in the organization's transition from SAP ECC/S1 to SAP S/4HANA. Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the primary Project Manager and functional lead for MES-related initiatives
  • Lead recurring MES meetings with business and technical stakeholders, ensuring alignment, accountability, and timely issue resolution
  • Develop project plans, coordinate resources, track milestones, and communicate project status to leadership
  • Manage MES maintenance activities, system upgrades, enhancements, and ongoing support initiatives
  • Coordinate and oversee User Acceptance Testing (UAT), system validation, and release readiness activities
  • Delegate testing responsibilities to appropriate business users and ensure completion of testing deliverables
  • Partner with manufacturing, planning, operations, and IT teams to improve MES processes and user adoption

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of Project Management experience supporting MES, manufacturing systems, or SAP/ERP initiatives
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong understanding of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and their integration with ERP platforms
  • Experience managing system upgrades, testing cycles, maintenance activities, and production support efforts
  • Hands-on experience coordinating User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and business validation activities
  • Proven ability to facilitate meetings, manage priorities, and drive projects to completion
  • Experience troubleshooting system and process-related issues in a manufacturing environment
