Main Sail is seeking a Test Lead for a Manufacturing Execution System (MES) implementation project to support a manufacturing client in Mt. Vernon, Indiana.

Responsibilities:
  • Plan for the FIT, SIT, and UAT as well as prep for test execution, such as:
    • Develop a Test Strategy and Plan.
    • Defining the testing process (how the users will perform the test).
    • What testing materials will be leveraged.
    • How the testers will have the testing materials.
    • How the test results will be captured and managed to closure.
    • What tool will be used to collect the test results.
    • What metrics will be used to report out the test results.
    • Who will be facilitating all the testing at both facilities.
    • When the tests will happen for FIT, SIT and UAT (both facilities).
    • Who will be testing for FIT, SIT, and UAT (for both facilities).
  • Develop Detailed Testing Schedule for FIT, SIT, and UAT (for both facilities).
  • Define testing logistics.
    • Reserve the testing facility at both facilities.
    • Organizing the testing facility with proper testing tools (if needed).
    • Ensuring the testers’ access and proper privileges have been provided.
    • Ensure the testers have proper training.
    • Ensure the testers have the knowledge of the testing process.
  • Lead script writers creating test cases and scripts for Functional Integration, System Integration test phases.
  • Lead technical resources executing Functional Integration, System Integration test phases.
  • Track and report defects daily.
  • Report status of test execution daily.
  • Lead users in creating User Acceptance test cases and scripts.
  • Lead users executing UAT phase of testing.
  • Track and report UAT defects daily. Report status of UAT test execution daily.
  • Travel - May need to travel up to 20% or time.

Experience Required:
  • 3-4 years of experience leading all testing phases for large, complex IT projects.
  • Manufacturing Execution System (MES) implementation experience - Solumina preferred.
  • Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) experience - SAP preferred.
  • Ability to pass a background investigation and drug screening.

Location:
  • Remote with up to 20% travel to Mt. Vernon, IN and Barberton, OH.

Duration:
  • Jun - Dec 2026 with possible extensions.
