- Job Title: Customer Service Representative III (CSR 3) Taxpayer Services
- Agency: Arizona Department of Revenue (AZDOR), Taxpayer Services Division
- Location: On-site in Mesa, AZ, with possible work at Phoenix office as needed
- Position Type: Contract (Staff Augmentation), 1-year duration with possible extension
- Hours: Full-time, 40 hours/week, Day shift (8:00 AM 5:00 PM)
- Start Date: April 27, 2026 (tentative)
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide in-person assistance to taxpayers regarding licensing inquiries and services
- Receive, process, and apply various payment types (cash, checks, debit/credit cards, money orders)
- Accurately post payments to individual and business taxpayer accounts
- Process new license applications, renewals, and account updates
- Explain licensing laws, rules, and procedures to taxpayers
- Perform daily cash till reconciliation and end-of-day balancing
- Maintain high levels of accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with state policies
- Work efficiently in a high-volume, customer-focused environment
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- At least 2 years of customer service experience
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a high-production or fast-paced environment
- Prior experience with cash handling
- Proficiency with Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Gmail, etc.)
- Ability to start within 2 weeks of offer acceptance
- Availability for in-person interviews within 1 week of posting close date
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bilingual (Spanish preferred)
Additional Requirements:
- Must currently reside in the local area (Mesa/Phoenix, AZ)
- Fully on-site position; remote work is not available
- Resumes must indicate current location

- Final start date depends on successful completion of interviews, onboarding, and State PO issuance
