MESPA III - Bus Driver

Internal/External Position: MESPA III - Bus Driver Location: Transportation Garage

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma
• Possess or willing to obtain Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
• Meet Federal DOT drug/alcohol testing requirements
• Must be flexible with hours

Essential Functions:

• Conduct pre-trip and post trip inspections of your assigned vehicle as required.
• Use established routes and designated bus stops.
• Conduct emergency evacuation drills as required.
• Instruct passenger riders regarding safety.
• Drive defensively under varying traffic conditions and inclement weather.
• Drive with safety of passengers as first priority.
• Establish favorable working relationships with other drivers, maintenance personnel, bus attendants, teachers, passengers, principals, and total school or program staff.
• Bus drivers shall achieve self-improvement by attending training sessions, and annual in-service conducted by Waterford School District.

Reports To: Transportation Supervisor

Workday/Week: Monday - Friday Hours Vary

Compensation: $21.00 - $23.25 per hour
