METAL BUILDING ERECTOR
Location: Nationwide travel; recruiting in Los Angeles, Sacramento, San Diego, Orange County, Fort Worth, Houston, Austin, Jacksonville, Miami, and Tampa
Position Type: Full-time, hourly
Pay: $17.00–$22.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications
Schedule: Full-time; varies by project. Typical hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., based on the project’s local time zone. Some weekend work may be required.
Travel Requirement: Up to 100% nationwide travel, with assignments away from home lasting several weeks or months at a time.

JOB SUMMARY
The Metal Building Erector fabricates, assembles, and installs metal structures and related equipment for facility maintenance and installation projects. This role requires accuracy, safe work practices, teamwork, and the flexibility to travel nationwide for extended project assignments.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Consults blueprints, work orders, and/or schematics to safely construct specified structures; develops additional sketches if needed.
· Selects appropriate materials for each job based on the required strength and project specifications.
· Cuts, bends, and shapes sheet metal to required dimensions.
· Measures, cuts, and welds pieces together according to specifications, blueprints, or directions.
· Connects pieces or secures seams by riveting, rolling, soldering, or using steel screws.
· Uses appropriate machinery, tools, and software applications to complete assigned jobs.
· Develops and maintains accurate records for projects and repairs.
· Operates heavy equipment in a safe and proper manner.
· Follows all company safety procedures and properly uses required personal protective equipment.
· Maintains a clean and orderly workspace.
· Works cooperatively with crew members and communicates project needs or safety concerns promptly.
· Performs other related duties as assigned.
· Travels up to 100% throughout the United States and may remain on assignment for several weeks or months at a time.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
· Ability to complete sheet metal projects with accuracy and precision.
· Ability to safely use machinery and tools involved in sheet metal work.
· Ability to follow verbal and written directions and work effectively as part of a crew.
· Ability to read blueprints and schematics and apply them to project assignments.
· Ability to work safely at heights and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
· Reliable attendance and ability to report to assigned project locations on time.
· Valid driver’s license.
· Ability to speak Spanish preferred.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
· High school diploma or equivalent required.
· Successful completion of an apprenticeship or three years of related in-company training required.
· Certification preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
· Prolonged periods of lifting, reaching, climbing, standing, bending, and working on scaffolding or overhead structures.
· Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
· Must be able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and at elevated heights while using required fall-protection equipment.
· Up to 100% nationwide travel is required.
· Must be able to pass a drug test.

· Schedule varies by project. Typical hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., based on the project’s local time zone. Some weekend work may be required.
