Metal Fabricator/Saw Operator -3Rd Shift

Job Description:KI, a world class supplier of innovative and award-winning furniture solutions for business, educational, and healthcare environments, is seeking a full-time Shear Operator to join our Green Bay manufacturing facility on our 3rd shift. 3rd shift individuals receive an hourly shift differential of $3.00. A $1.00/hour raise is also given within the first year of employment.

Job Duties:The shear operator is responsible for setting up the Haven Shear and End Finisher as well as making adjustments to ensure accurate product is being produced. The position is also responsible for:

Complete daily, safety inspections of the shear and end finisherCut the correct materials according to the shop ordersChange blades as necessaryChange and adjust machines based on tubing diameter and lengthTransport bundles of steel tubing utilizing a hoist system.Perform multiple tasks to ISO Quality StandardsMaintain a clean and safe work environment

Minimum Requirements:

High School Diploma or Equivalent Preferred

Value Added Skills:

Mechanically inclined with previous manufacturing experience, but not requiredCommunication skillsComputer knowledgeWillingness to learnMust be able to take measurements by using the decimal systemAbility to read KI print will be useful

Physical Requirements:

Working in areas where it can get warmWorking in a smoke free environmentActivities including standing, walking, lifting, twisting and bendingAbility to lift up to 50 lbs.Willingness to assist in any given area of the plant if your area is slow

Shift:

This is a 3rd Shift positionHours are 10pm- 6am Sunday night- Friday MorningShift premium of $3.00/hourOvertime during busy season
