Job Description
KI, a world-class supplier of innovative and award-winning furniture solutions for business, educational, and healthcare environments, is seeking a full-time Shear Operator to join our Green Bay manufacturing facility on our 3rd shift. 3rd shift individuals receive an hourly shift differential of $3.00. A $1.00 per hour raise is also given within the first year of employment. To learn more about KI, please visit www.ki.com.
Job Duties
- The shear operator is responsible for setting up the Haven Shear and End Finisher, as well as making adjustments to ensure accurate product is being produced.
- The position is also responsible for:
- Complete daily safety inspections of the shear and end finisher
- Cut the correct materials according to the shop orders
- Change blades as necessary
- Change and adjust machines based on tubing diameter and length
- Transport bundles of steel tubing utilizing a hoist system
- Perform multiple tasks to ISO Quality Standards
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Minimum Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Preferred:
- Mechanically inclined with previous manufacturing experience
- Communication skills
- Computer knowledge
- Willingness to learn
- Must be able to take measurements by using the decimal system
- Ability to read KI print will be useful
Physical Requirements
- Working in areas where it can get warm
- Working in a smoke-free environment
- Activities including standing, walking, lifting, twisting, and bending
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Willingness to assist in any given area of the plant if your area is slow
Shift
- This is a 3rd Shift position
- Hours are 10pm - 6am, Sunday night - Friday morning
- Shift premium of $3.00 per hour
- Overtime during busy season
