Metal Finisher

Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Metal Finisher to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will prepare, polish, and finish metal products to meet quality standards before they move to quality control and assembly. The ideal candidate has a strong commitment to safety, technical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Essential Responsibilities

• Prepare and finish metal products using a variety of finishing techniques.
• Operate handheld grinders, polishers, and sanding equipment to achieve the desired finish.
• Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, drawings, and job specifications.
• Perform manufacturing tasks including cutting, grinding, sanding, drilling, tapping, and basic metal preparation.
• Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards.
• Follow all company safety procedures and properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Assist in other production departments as needed. Training will be provided for additional responsibilities.
• Work overtime as needed to support production schedules.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous manufacturing or metal fabrication experience preferred.
• Experience using hand tools and power tools.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders.
• Basic computer and data entry skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable, safety-focused, and willing to learn.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for 8 10 hours per shift.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Ability to use both hands to safely operate equipment and handle materials.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.
