An opening currently exists for a Metal Mart Store Manager position at the McElroy Metal Mart in Gonzales, Louisiana. This position manages retail store in selling of metal building components, supervises employees, counter sales, bookkeeping, marketing, inventory control, orders stock, and typical warehouse operations such as receiving, loading, unloading, safety as well as all administrative functions at the Metal Mart and reports to the Metal Mart Area Manager. Gonzales, LA is located off of I-10 between Baton Rouge and New Orleans. It is a booming area with a growing population due to the Petrochemical and Chemical plants industry. In 2023, McElroy purchased 2-1/2 acres of land off of the heavily trafficked Airline Hwy. In August 2024, we finished the construction and opened up at the new location which features: -2,000 square foot showroom with finished out office, restrooms and employee breakroom -9,000 square foot warehouse -Large concrete front parking area -U-shaped traffic flow for easy drive in & drive out for trailers/semis -Greenspan insulated metal panels on the office portion of the building -Climate controlled accessory room directly connected behind the sales counter -Laptop set up for in store Easy Frame Building quoting The store also has newer model Schectyl trim equipment, 2 Tennsmith panel shears, Hyster 60 forklifts & a portable chop saw cutting table. 8:00 am – 5:00 pm M-F Responsibilities
