Job Type: Full-Time | Direct Hire
Pay: $20.00 – $23.00 per hour (DOE)
Schedule: Monday – Thursday | 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM

About Us

We are a precision metal stamping manufacturer delivering components to aerospace, medical, electronics, telecommunications, construction, and government sectors. Safety, quality, teamwork, and continuous improvement guide everything we do.

A Day in the Role

At 6:00 AM you step onto the pressroom floor and review the day’s cut lists and job travelers. You set up and operate the shear to size sheet metal to spec, verify dimensions with precision tools, and log production and material usage in our system. Throughout the day you rotate between cutting, inspecting, and moving raw material with safe handling techniques and the right equipment. When machines need attention, you perform routine cleaning, lubrication, and basic checks—and you follow lockout/tagout any time you clear or service equipment. As priorities shift, you pitch in with general shop, building, and grounds tasks, or support other production areas. You wrap up by organizing your area, updating records, and sharing status with your supervisor and teammates.

What You’ll Do

  • Operate metal shearing equipment to cut sheet stock per specifications and work orders.
  • Interpret cut lists, job travelers, and production instructions accurately.
  • Move and stage material safely using proper lifting methods and handling equipment.
  • Inspect output to confirm accuracy and quality requirements.
  • Enter production and material tracking data into company systems.
  • Keep the work area clean and hazard-aware; wear required PPE.
  • Perform basic preventative maintenance: cleaning, lubrication, inspections.
  • Report equipment concerns promptly to supervisors.
  • Apply lockout/tagout when clearing or maintaining machines.
  • Assist with shop, equipment, building, and grounds upkeep as needed.
  • Support other departments during slower production periods.
  • Participate in safety meetings and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Communicate clearly with teammates and leadership.

Qualifications

  • Experience with metal shearing or metal fabrication preferred.
  • Mechanical aptitude; basic maintenance background a plus.
  • Comfort using computers for data entry and production tracking.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality mindset.
  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
  • Works well independently and in a team.
  • Flexible and willing to help across the facility.
  • Follows written and verbal instructions.
  • Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Physical Requirements

  • Stand and move for the full shift.
  • Safely lift and maneuver heavy sheet metal with assistance or equipment.
  • Comfortable handling sharp materials and working around industrial machinery.
  • Perform repetitive tasks in a manufacturing environment.
