Metal Shop Lead – 2nd Shift

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM – 12:00 AMPay: $18.00–$21.00 per hour (based on experience)

Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable and motivated Metal Shop Lead to oversee our client's 2nd shift production team. This role is responsible for leading daily operations, ensuring quality standards are met, maintaining a safe work environment, and helping the team achieve production goals.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the 2nd shift production team.
• Assign work and monitor workflow to meet production schedules.
• Ensure all products meet quality standards and customer specifications.
• Train, coach, and assist team members as needed.
• Promote and enforce workplace safety procedures.
• Troubleshoot production issues and communicate with management.
• Perform equipment inspections and report maintenance needs.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Complete production reports and other required documentation.

Requirements

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a metal fabrication, manufacturing, or machine shop environment.
• Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Must be able to read a tape measurer
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Reliable attendance and a positive attitude.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.

Benefits

Competitive pay: $18.00–$21.00 per hour, depending on experience. This is a temp-to-hire position with the opportunity to become a full-time employee and receive additional benefits upon permanent hire.
