Metal Shop Lead – 2nd Shift
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM – 12:00 AM Pay: $18.00–$21.00 per hour (based on experience)
Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable and motivated Metal Shop Lead to oversee our client's 2nd shift production team. This role is responsible for leading daily operations, ensuring quality standards are met, maintaining a safe work environment, and helping the team achieve production goals.
Responsibilities
Lead and support the 2nd shift production team.
Assign work and monitor workflow to meet production schedules.
Ensure all products meet quality standards and customer specifications.
Train, coach, and assist team members as needed.
Promote and enforce workplace safety procedures.
Troubleshoot production issues and communicate with management.
Perform equipment inspections and report maintenance needs.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Complete production reports and other required documentation.
Requirements
Qualifications
Previous experience in a metal fabrication, manufacturing, or machine shop environment.
Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
Must be able to read a tape measurer
Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Reliable attendance and a positive attitude.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
Benefits
Competitive pay: $18.00–$21.00 per hour, depending on experience. This is a temp-to-hire position with the opportunity to become a full-time employee and receive additional benefits upon permanent hire.
