You’ll cultivate a safe, supportive workplace where people can grow, contribute, and take pride in their work.

What a Typical Day Looks Like

  • Kick off the shift with a safety huddle, reinforce PPE usage, and walk the floor to verify a safe, accident-free environment; ensure monthly safety inspections are completed on time and any hazards are quickly corrected.
  • Execute daily production and shipment schedules and remove roadblocks to achieve on-time delivery while meeting customer requirements.
  • Review daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly/annual KPI dashboards, spot performance gaps, and launch countermeasures.
  • Coordinate closely with Sales and Production Planning to process and ship orders accurately and on schedule; maintain and publish equipment lead-times daily so Sales can commit with confidence.
  • Maximize equipment utilization; ensure all preventative maintenance and inspections are performed on time and documented.
  • Identify bottlenecks and capacity constraints early and realign plans to protect commitments.
  • Drive a 5S culture and implement rigorous housekeeping standards inside and outside the warehouse throughout the day.
  • Partner with the CI Manager to instill and sustain a Continuous Improvement mindset across all warehouse levels.
  • Ensure reliable processes to stock and replenish operational and safety supplies.
  • Oversee receiving, put-away, picking, packaging, and shipping to meet specification and damage-free delivery requirements.
  • Safeguard inventory integrity through daily cycle counts; maintain accuracy for heat lot traceability, quantities, and locations; control scrap in alignment with the scrap disposition policy.
  • Champion ISO conformance and 100% compliance to internal and customer quality requirements (specifications, dimensions, heat code traceability, export compliance, packaging, and more).
  • Model and maintain a culture consistent with the UPM and ONI Code of Conduct and Ethics policy; uphold company Quality Policy, Ethics Guidelines, Safety and Environmental Policies, and all governing procedures.
  • Ensure accountability for OSHA and EPA compliance within warehouse operations.
  • Lead hiring and performance reviews with HR partnership; set quantitative goals aligned to Operations, UPM, and ONI Key Strategic Objectives; complete annual reviews and implement training/development plans, including coaching for unacceptable performance or behavior.
  • Run cost control initiatives and track cost savings/avoidance projects that deliver year-over-year reductions in operational expenses.
