Meter Service Mechanic Helper - Danielson, CT

Position Summary

We are seeking a Meter Service Mechanic – Electric to perform routine field work while developing the skills necessary to install, test, maintain, and repair electric metering systems. This position involves hands-on electrical work, customer service interaction, and participation in storm response and emergency restoration activities as required.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid, clean motor vehicle operator’s license
• Ability to successfully pass the CAST test
• Mechanical aptitude
• Understanding of and ability to apply electrical theory

Preferred Qualifications

•  Licensed electrician or equivalent education and experience
•  Prior related metering or instrumentation experience

Compensation & Benefits

• This position is part of a four-year job progression: Starting pay at Step 1 $32.65 and progressing in accordance with the union contract.
