The MSE serves as the field expert and liaison for smart grid metering. This position is responsible for meter and product training, meter set‑up coordination and metering‑related trouble shooting and issue resolution. This position is Remote but the ideal candidate lives in the southeastern part of the United States to cover specific territories. Must be bilingual in English/Spanish to support the international market.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop an understanding of product strengths and weaknesses as they pertain to market requirementsGather competitive intelligenceDevelop and deliver technical sales presentations to prospective and/or existing customersAttend trade shows and regional metering schools to conduct technical sales presentations in large group sessionsProvide technical expertise and information to customers and prospects on system configurations, usage, operation, and featuresMaintain up‑to‑date awareness of industry activities, trends, and regulatory issues and communicate “industry best practices” to maximize the value of Company solutionsDevelop positive customer relationships through pro‑active customer management while providing guidance to customers in implementation, operation, training, and problem resolutionProvide detailed information and coordinate with internal Company support teams to resolve customer issuesRespond to customer inquiries in a timely mannerPromptly complete and file expense reports, detailed trip reports, and documentation of customer‑related activities into Company's CRM systemDevelop appropriate communication channels and relationships in support of the sales team's need for internal information and communication to customers and the market, and maintain these channels in a manner that ensures cooperation, support, and teamworkKnowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesMicrosoft Office. Experienced user of ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) & MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems preferably SAPEducation and ExperienceRequired minimum level of education: Bachelor's DegreeRequired minimum years of experience: 2+ to 5Desired Education/ExperienceBachelor of Science degree required / advanced degree desired from a 4‑year college or university or equivalent combination of education and experience3 to 5 years successful performance in a customer service or technical support related position in an electronic technology related field including independent travel and customer contactExperience with utility operations. AMR operations is a plusMust have excellent computer skills including the ability to utilize Excel, Word, Outlook, and CRM systemsRequired/desired certification: Must have a valid driver's licenseWorking Conditions, Physical Requirements, Safety, PPE, OHSASWorking conditions: Typical indoor office environment with the majority of time spent sitting and working on a computer using keyboard, mouse, and monitor.
