METRC Specialist - Travel within the Metro Detroit area required

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive professional to support inventory compliance, reporting accuracy, and operational efficiency within a regulated cannabis environment. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate records, ensuring timely data entry, and helping the team stay aligned with state and internal tracking requirements. The ideal candidate is organized, collaborative, and comfortable working with data, systems, and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records within the tracking system.
• Enter, verify, and reconcile data related to plant, package, transfer, and sales activities.
• Monitor compliance requirements and help ensure adherence to applicable regulations and internal procedures.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies between physical inventory and system records.
• Prepare and submit required reports, manifests, and documentation in a timely manner.
• Support audits, inspections, and internal reviews by organizing and providing relevant records.
• Collaborate with cultivation, processing, warehouse, and retail teams to ensure accurate workflows.
• Assist with training team members on proper tracking procedures and data entry standards.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce errors, and strengthen compliance practices.
• Stay informed on regulatory updates and system changes that may affect tracking and reporting.

Qualifications

• Experience working with inventory tracking, compliance systems, or regulated operations preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in data entry and recordkeeping.
• Ability to analyze discrepancies and take a methodical approach to problem-solving.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfort working with spreadsheets, databases, and reporting tools.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Understanding of confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive information.
• Experience in cannabis operations or regulated industries is a plus.
