POSITION OVERVIEW: A Manufacturing Operator I (MFG OP I) is an entry-level role in Mountville Rubber. Upon mastering additional positions, you may become a MFG OP II, MFG OP III, or MFG OP IV. Each step up comes with additional pay increases.
COMPENSATION: $17/hr Base Pay (+$0.50 Shift Differential for 2nd shift, +$1.00 Shift Differential for 3rd shift)
JOB DUTIES:
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to prevent contamination
- Ensure the oil and mixing process for the first batch is verified by production supervisor or another designated employee
- Remove all knots from pre-weigh bags before loading them into the mixer
- After the last batch, keep mixer door open and run mixer for an additional 10 minutes before shutting down
- Complete the current batch before taking breaks
- Fold rubber into boxes or onto pallets
- Load raw materials onto a belt as instructed
- Perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to read and understand control screens
- Competence in reading a tape measure
- 1+ year experience in a manufacturing setting
- Ability to lift 50lbs
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Non-Climate controlled warehouse
- Due to the production of rubber from powdered chemicals, you will get dirty working at Mountville Rubber.
- Steel-toe boots are required
