Job Description: Client-side Workday Test Lead
Summary: We require a highly skilled Workday specialist to fill a critical gap on the client side, focusing on rigorous testing and quality assurance. This role is essential for developing a defensible Test Strategy and ensuring the final Workday solution meets all quality, compliance, and business requirements. The successful candidate will drive the UAT phase and oversee technical integration testing to ensure seamless data flow between systems.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Vendor Deliverable Review & Quality Assurance:
• Review the Test Strategy, Test Plan, Test cases/scenarios, and Test Results prepared by the implementation vendor.
• Perform rigorous design and technical reviews of vendor deliverables, including integration designs and configuration plans, to ensure quality, completeness, and adherence to the SOW and client operations.
• Review the configuration made by the vendor to ensure it translates complex business objectives into the system effectively.
2. Client-side Test Strategy, Planning & Execution for Quality Assurance :
• Proactively develop and implement the Test Strategy and Plan on the client end.
• Lead the creation of detailed test cases and scenarios, specifically targeting company-specific requirements (Canon-specific), edge cases, and error testing.
• Track and manage defect resolution, ensuring the effectiveness of fixes through subsequent retesting.
• Lead the management of comprehensive UAT.
• Coordination: Coordinate testing schedules and environments across different IT teams to validate interface functionality and data flow.
• Integration Expertise: Leverage deep proficiency in Workday integrations to validate technical specifications and troubleshoot interface issues during the testing phase.
4. Stakeholder Collaboration & Problem Solving:
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions (and test scenarios) and communicate effectively across technical teams and HR/management stakeholders.
• Identify problems and suggest ideas proactively without need for manager supervision or micro-management.
Required Qualifications:
• Experience:
? 4+ years of experience in testing Workday implementations, including the development of detailed test plans and comprehensive E2E test cases.
? Proven hands-on experience supporting Workday (HCM/Payroll focus required).
• Technical Skills:
? Workday Expertise: Deep proficiency in Workday configuration, data structure, security model, and integrations.
? Integration Testing: Experience in designing and coordinating tests for system interfaces and data integrations.
• Soft Skills:
? Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to find proactive solutions to critical issues.
? Proven ability to communicate effectively across technical teams and business stakeholders
