    Description

    SUMMARY: Reporting to Chief of Emergency Medicine and working as part of the Emergency Department team, the Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner will participate in all aspects of care including diagnosis, treatment and disposition with a particular focus on compassionate and courteous service. The core Success Factors include: Instill Trust and Value Differences Patient and Community Focus and Collaborate RESPONSIBILITIES: Obtain patient historiesPerform comprehensive physical examinations to evaluate patients for admissionPerform bedside diagnostic and therapeutic proceduresCoordinate tests and consultationsImplement treatment plans which includes communicating with referring and consulting physiciansProvide consultation, teaching, and coordination with patients and their family members; color: redabouttreatment and medical carePrepare patients for dischargePerforms other duties as assigned MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION:Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies, National Commission of Certification of Physician Assistants is required or master’s degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner's Program.Current Massachusetts license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant required.EXPERIENCE:Minimum of 1 year experience in Emergency Medicine or Urgent Care is required.The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively alongside our Emergency Physicians. WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Fast-paced, interactive, team-oriented Emergency Department environment with a diverse range of patients and pathology. INDEPENDENT ACTION: Responds to individual patient-care situations demonstrating knowledge and skills acquired through education, certification and work experience. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: None.

    Pay Range:

    $127,504.00-$161,782.40
