Job Overview

The Engineering Manager will ensure specific technological advancement for wire straightening, coiling, forming, coining, and heat treatment processes.

Job Requirements

  • • Manage projects including new production equipment, process improvements and cost

reductions as well as new product introduction support.

  • Coordinate the design, supply, manufacture and qualification of tooling, machinery

and test equipment.

  • Generate and maintain product routings, process drawings and standard costs.
  • Provide justifications, implementation and capital validation of new equipment.
  • Review manufacturing and process capability of new and existing products.
  • Ensure implementation and sustainment of reliable and repeatable processes that meet

safety, quality, yield and cost objectives.

  • Improve efficiency towards process flow optimization, equipment performance and

manufacturing best practices.

  • Develop and implement cost reduction and quality improvement projects.
  • Ensure utilization of engineering principles and rigor to solve complex process and

design challenges.

  • Establish project priorities, effective management of resources to meet business

objectives and monitor progress.

  • Participate in the development, modification and execution of department policies.
  • Keeps abreast of the latest processes, technology and industry trends.
  • Ensures budgets, planning and quality requirements are met-.
  • Determines staffing needs, discipline and completions by reviewing attendance and

performance records.

  • Ensures quality of services meets internal and external customer requirements.
  • Ensures employee compliance with company policies and practices.
  • All other duties as assigned.
  • Support all the engineering activities and reporting to Engineering Manager II

  • Demonstrated ability to create and read engineering drawings and schematics.
  • Knowledge of CAD Software (SolidWorks, ProEngineer, CATIA, etc.).

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering with a strong emphasis on wireframe technology and processes (medical device industry preferred).
  • Minimum 2 years demonstrable experience as a

supervisor/manager in a high-tech manufacturing environment.

  • Desirable with working knowledge of mechanical design, FEA, geometric tolerancing, metrology, machine control and metallurgy desirable.
  • Experience with DFM, Lean/Six Sigma principles and design of experiments.
  • MBA, Bachelor's degree in Engineering
