The Manager, International Accounting will oversee a team that supports EOG's current international operations as well as any new ventures. The position is located in Houston, TX, with the key responsibilities below:
*Oversee a team of approximately 10 employees and contractors, with oversight of:*Accounting for revenue, volumes, expenses, capital expenditures and intercompany transactions
*Vendor onboarding and accounts payable
*Contract reviews for proper accounting
*Monthly forecasting and budgeting
*Staff development and mentoring
*Work closely with management and commercial teams to provide support on accounting, forecasting, and financial analysis for current operations as well as potential transactions.
*Work closely with local, in-country accounting teams to ensure accuracy of financial data, forecasts, and analyses passed to corporate.
*Coordinate with the Corporate Financial Reporting team to ensure accuracy of financial data and variance analyses.
*Manage monthly management financial statement preparation, analyzing variances from forecast, and reporting significant issues.
*Prepare ad-hoc presentations to the executive management team.
*Oversee compliance with accounting policies and procedures and internal controls.
*Coordinate communications with internal and external auditors.

*Bachelor's in accounting degree, CPA preferred
*8+ years of international oil and gas accounting experience
*5+ years supervisory/managerial experience
*Knowledge of and ability to apply US GAAP/IFRS and understanding of statutory reporting requirements
*Experience in accounting in multiple currencies
*Detail oriented; with a focus on accuracy and timeliness
*Self-motivated with strong management, analytical and coordination skills, including multi-location coordination skills
*Ability to work in a fast-paced and fluid environment; flexible with the demands of a growing and heavily active organization
*Strong communications skills
*Willingness to travel to international offices
*Strong Excel skills required
Position will be filled at a level commensurate with experience.
