Overview

The Laboratory Manager is responsible for the daily operational, technical, financial, and personnel management of assigned laboratory departments. This role ensures compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements while maintaining high-quality patient care, accurate test results, operational efficiency, and employee engagement. The Laboratory Manager collaborates with medical directors, organizational leadership, and laboratory staff to achieve departmental and organizational goals.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor''s degree with detailed knowledge of laboratory operations, quality assurance and control; specimen integrity; knowledge of billing, compliance, and budgetary control.

License: National certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT), Specialist or Medical Technologist (MT) with the American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or Clinical Laboratory Scientist (HEW). MT preferred.

Experience: Three to five years' experience in a laboratory setting with management or lab outreach experience preferred.
