About the Role:

Join CBRE as a Material Handling Maintenance Technician and become part of a team that keeps cutting-edge automation systems running at their best. From conveyors and sortation equipment to automated packaging systems, you'll perform maintenance, diagnose issues, and implement repairs that directly impact operational performance and uptime.

This role offers the opportunity to work with advanced material handling technologies in a dynamic distribution environment while developing valuable technical and troubleshooting skills.

Schedules: Sun--Tuesday 6:30p- 6:30a and Weds 6:30p-12:30a

Weds 12a-6:30a and Thurs-Sat 6:30p-6:30a

What You'll Do:

  • Assist with technical and safety training.
  • Participate in and support continuous improvement and Kaizen activities across the site and network.
  • Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs on material handling equipment, including conveyors, sortation systems, automated packaging equipment, and related mechanical systems.
  • Troubleshoot equipment failures, identify root causes, and support corrective actions to minimize downtime.
  • Verify the proper operation of safety devices and systems to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Support operational processes by identifying and locating products during the delivery process as needed.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and complete assigned work orders in a timely manner.
  • Follow established procedures to resolve routine issues while working under defined guidelines and supervision.
  • Deliver quality work through clearly defined duties, processes, and performance expectations.

What You'll Need:

  • High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 1-2 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
  • Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
  • Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work.
  • Communication skills to exchange straightforward information.
  • Basic math skills. Ability to calculate simple figures such as percentages, discounts, and markups.
