Covenant Aviation Security (CAS) is seeking a Training Coordinator to support security operations at Miami International Airport (MIA). This position will be responsible for coordinating, delivering, and monitoring all required training programs to ensure employees meet company, client, and regulatory requirements. This role is responsible for developing and maintaining training materials, facilitating instructor-led training, overseeing on-the-job training activities, tracking employee training records, and ensuring all required certifications remain current.
In addition to training responsibilities, the Training Coordinator supports operational compliance by implementing the site's Quality Assurance Plan, conducting quality assurance audits and observations, monitoring adherence to post orders, standard operating procedures, TSA regulations, and client requirements, and identifying opportunities to improve employee performance, operational effectiveness, and regulatory compliance. The Training Coordinator serves as a key resource to site leadership by promoting a culture of continuous learning, accountability, and operational excellence.

Essential Functions
Training
- Coordinate, facilitate, and document all required training activities in accordance with company, client, and regulatory requirements.
- Develop, update, and distribute training materials to reflect changes in policies, procedures, regulations, and operational requirements.
- Deliver instructor-led classroom, practical, and on-the-job training to new and existing employees.
- Coordinate training schedules and communicate with Operations, Human Resources, and other departments to ensure timely completion of all required training.
- Maintain accurate training records and monitor employee certifications to ensure compliance with all recurring training requirements.
- Remain current on TSA regulations, client requirements, company policies, and standard operating procedures to ensure training content remains accurate and up to date.
- Maintain proficiency in all security post assignments, equipment, and post orders by routinely performing operational duties as needed.
- Assist with new hire onboarding by ensuring all pre-employment, orientation, and required training activities are completed successfully.
Quality Assurance & Compliance
- Implement and support the site's Quality Assurance Plan to ensure compliance with company policies, client expectations, and regulatory requirements.
- Develop performance assessment schedules, conduct employee evaluations, and accurately document assessment results.
- Conduct routine operational audits, observations, and compliance inspections to evaluate adherence to post orders, standard operating procedures, TSA regulations, and client requirements.
- Provide immediate coaching, feedback, and recognition to employees based on quality assurance observations and performance assessments.
- Manage the site's internal covert testing program, including scheduling, test administration, documentation, reporting, and trend analysis.
- Analyze quality assurance findings, covert testing results, and assessments conducted by company leadership, airport authorities, and government agencies.
- Prepare detailed reports summarizing audit, assessment, and testing results, identify performance trends, and present findings and recommendations to site leadership.
- Recommend corrective actions to improve operational performance, assist with implementation, and evaluate the effectiveness of corrective measures.
- Remain current on all applicable regulations, policies, procedures, and security directives to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, or Lawful Permanent Resident.
- Possess a Florida Driver License.
- Must obtain and maintain all required airport badges, clearances, and credentials.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum two (2) years of experience in aviation security, airport operations, workforce training, quality assurance, regulatory compliance, or a related field.
- Working knowledge of TSA regulations, airport security operations, and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) and the ability to learn company software and training management systems.
- Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English.
- Must successfully pass all required background investigations and drug screening requirements.
- Must be able to distinguish colors in both bright and low-light conditions, with vision correctable to 20/20.
- Must be able to hear and respond to audible alarms.
- Must present a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management, Security Management, Criminal Justice, Education, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience at an airport regulated under 49 CFR Part 1542.
- Experience delivering instructor-led training, coordinating training programs, or facilitating employee development.
- Experience conducting quality assurance audits, compliance assessments, inspections, or performance evaluations.
- Experience maintaining employee training records, certifications, or learning management systems (LMS).

Physical Demands
- Ability to stand, walk, sit, reach, bend, stoop, and climb stairs for extended periods while conducting training sessions, classroom instruction, operational observations, and quality assurance activities.
- Ability to move throughout airport facilities, including secured and restricted areas, to observe operations, conduct audits, and support training initiatives.
- Ability to lift, carry, and move training materials and equipment weighing up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to use a computer and other office equipment for extended periods to prepare training materials, maintain records, and complete required documentation.

Work Environment
Work is performed in a combination of office, classroom, and airport operational environments. Responsibilities include conducting classroom instruction, on-the-job training, quality assurance observations, and compliance audits throughout airport facilities, including secured and restricted areas. Duties may require working both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions, including exposure to heat, humidity, wind, rain, aircraft noise, and other conditions typical of an active airport environment. The Training Coordinator must be available to work flexible schedules, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and occasional extended hours, as operational and training needs require.
