Assistant Project ManagerOur client is a well-established and highly respected General Contractor specializing in commercial interiors throughout New York City. With a portfolio that includes corporate offices, workplace fit-outs, tenant improvements, healthcare, retail, and hospitality renovations, they are known for delivering exceptional projects while fostering a collaborative and team-oriented culture.Job DescriptionAssist Project Managers with the day-to-day management of commercial interiors projects.Support project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and cost tracking activities.Coordinate RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation.Maintain project records and ensure documentation is accurate and up to date.Communicate with subcontractors, vendors, architects, and clients throughout the project lifecycle.Participate in project meetings and prepare meeting minutes and progress reports.Assist with procurement of materials and subcontractor coordination.Conduct site visits to monitor project progress and support field operations.Track project milestones and help identify and resolve potential issues.Support project closeout activities, including punch lists and final documentation.The Successful Applicant1-4 years of experience in construction project management, project engineering, or an assistant project management role.Experience working on commercial interiors, tenant fit-out, renovation, or workplace projects is highly preferred.Strong organizational and time-management skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Procore, Bluebeam, and MS Project is a plus.Eager to learn, develop professionally, and progress within a growing construction organization.What's on OfferComprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance.401(k) with company match.Clear career progression to Project Manager and Senior Project Manager levels.Exposure to some of New York City's most exciting commercial interiors projects.Mentorship from experienced construction professionals and leadership teams.Stable pipeline of work with a reputable and growing General Contractor.Generous PTO, paid holidays, and professional development opportunities.
