Commercial Construction Superintendent

Job Description
Manage day-to-day site operations across retail and commercial construction projects. Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel to ensure project milestones are achieved. Enforce site safety standards and maintain compliance with OSHA regulations. Monitor project schedules and proactively address delays or construction challenges. Conduct regular site inspections to ensure work quality meets project specifications. Collaborate closely with Project Managers, Architects, Engineers, and Clients. Manage site logistics, deliveries, manpower planning, and trade sequencing. Oversee project documentation, daily reports, punch lists, and closeout activities. Maintain strong client relationships and represent the company professionally on-site. Deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the highest standard of workmanship.

The Successful Applicant
A successful Superintendent should have: 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent within commercial construction. Strong background delivering retail interiors, tenant improvements, store rollouts, and commercial fit-out projects. Proven experience managing projects within New York City. Thorough knowledge of building codes, construction practices, and NYC regulations. Strong understanding of scheduling, sequencing, and subcontractor management. OSHA certification preferred. Excellent communication and leadership skills. Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and maintain momentum on fast-track projects. Highly organized, proactive, and solutions-focused. Stable employment history with reputable General Contractors.
