About the Position

Michigan on Main Bar & Grill is located inside Bavarian Inn Restaurant and features fresh, flavorful dishes made with ingredients sourced right here in Michigan. As a Michigan on Main Cook, you’ll prepare appetizers, salads, sandwiches, fried specialties, and rotating seasonal menu items in a fast-paced kitchen. This position is ideal for someone who has prior culinary experience, works with speed and accuracy, and takes pride in creating dishes that look just as good as they taste.

What You'll Do

• Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards
• Plate dishes with consistency and attention to presentation
• Work efficiently to maintain quality and ticket times during busy service periods
• Help keep the kitchen clean, stocked, and organized
• Support your team and contribute to smooth daily operations

Basic Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Prior professional cooking experience or relevant culinary education required
• Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment
• Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Able to stand and walk for the duration of the shift
• Available to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Uniform: Black dress or work pants, black slip-resistant shoes, and a white chef coat
